Service: Safety pruning & crown cleaning · Location: Groveton area, Alexandria, VA 22306 · Completed: October 2025

A mature tree on the right side of this Groveton home had started dropping dead branches onto the yard and walkway. Some of its growth had also worked its way into a three-phase service wire, the kind of contact that causes outages and damage when a storm pushes limbs around.
The crew did a full crown cleaning, taking out every dead, diseased and broken branch over two inches in diameter. We also cut back the growth that was touching the service wire to restore safe clearance. Every branch and all the brush were cleaned up and hauled away.
The tree stays, with nothing dead left in the crown to fall and the wire clear. It’s structurally safer and better prepared for the next round of storms.
A tree that drops dead wood isn’t always a tree that has to come down. When the trunk and main structure are sound, cleaning the crown removes the hazard and keeps the shade. Our arborists check the trunk, root flare and major unions first, then tell you honestly which way to go.
We start every job with a free on-site visit from an ISA certified arborist and a written estimate. Call (703) 569-2570 or request your free estimate online.
