FAQ

What is an Arborist?

An arborist is a professional in the practice of arboriculture, specifically in general tree health and safety. An arborist is trained to evaluate a tree’s health/structure and give recommendations on how to improve it.

What time does work on the job site usually begin?

If your job is scheduled in the morning, we will arrive between 8am-8:30am and may be earlier if job is close to our yard. If there is a traffic jam, we will arrive around 9am.

How can I pay for my services?

We do receive differnet kinds of payments. Your payment can be made in cash, checks, credit card. Credit Card payments can be made directly from the invoice sent to the email on file.

When is the best time to prune trees?

The best time to prune trees is when the tree is dormant. Since the tree is not active, the removal of branches will be less stressful for trees. Elms and birches should only be pruned during the winter, although deadwood can be removed at any time. For all other trees they can be pruned any time of the year.

Do you have emergency services?

Yes, we have emergency services. Call the emergency number or call a company representative’s cell phone. Leave a detailed message with your phone number, address, and a short description of work. We will call you back as soon as possible.

How do we climb trees?

We use a throwball connected to a thin nylon line. We throw the ball over a limb. Once we get it where we want it, we then connect a rope to the ball. By pulling the cord, we pull threw the rope over the branch. Then we climb the rope using different climbing techniques. We always use a safety lanyard to secure position when using chainsaw, moving main rope or for better positioning. We are never not tried into tree once aloft. We only use spikes for complete tree removals. We don’t use spike for pruning because spike marks could be entry points for disease and insects.
